NEW PERCEPTIONS

A group of young photographers aged 11 – 18 take us on a journey that began after-school with workshops on photography, facilitated by eye4change.

As they developed creatively and technically, they weaved image and text to convey the things they saw, how they saw them and what they felt.

Reflecting back aspects of their lives, each considered themes of representation, identity, belonging and perception.

This selection of photographs and accompanying text, is an insightful and authentic aperture to their world.

This picture was taken in Woolwich. The city looks both close and far away. It’s so far it’s almost in the shadows. London is such a big city, everywhere feels different
